How it works
Five steps.
One quiet morning.
Connect
Sign in with Google. Sumi requests read-only access to your Gmail. No password, no forwarding address, no email alias to maintain. You then define which newsletter senders or Gmail labels Sumi should watch.
Fetch
Every few hours, Sumi queries Gmail on your behalf. It retrieves only the messages that match your defined sources. Nothing else. Your inbox remains untouched — Sumi operates quietly in the background, leaving no trace unless you ask it to archive.
Distill
Each newsletter is read by AI and reduced to its essential signal — the idea, the argument, the fact that actually matters. HTML clutter, promotional copy, and repetition are stripped away. What remains is the substance.
Compose
The individual signals are woven together into a single, coherent briefing. Not a list of summaries — a digest. Structure, sequence, and language are considered. The result should feel curated, not assembled. You can shape the focus with a custom prompt if you have specific priorities.
Deliver
One email arrives at the time you chose, in your timezone. That is all. No push notifications, no daily reminders, no unread badge climbing. If the digest is not ready, Sumi waits until it is. Then silence, until tomorrow.
Optionally, Sumi can automatically archive the source newsletters from Gmail once they have been included in a digest — so your inbox clears itself as your reading gets done.
The inbox does the accumulating. Sumi does the reading.
