The service

Sumi is a newsletter digest service. It connects to your Gmail account, retrieves newsletters from your chosen sources, and delivers one daily digest to your email at your chosen time.

Digest quality depends on the content of the newsletters you follow and the clarity of your source definitions. Sumi makes no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of AI-generated summaries, and you should not rely solely on a digest for information where accuracy is critical.

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

Your account

Sumi accounts are tied to a single Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of that Google account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Sumi. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Subscription

Sumi is a paid subscription service. Pricing is shown at signup and may change with advance notice. Billing is handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.

All prices are shown exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout based on your location.

If a payment fails, Sumi will pause digest delivery until payment is resolved. We will attempt to notify you by email before suspending service.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the service until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.

Acceptable use

Sumi is for personal use. You may not use the service to:

• Scrape, aggregate, or resell digests or processed content at scale
• Circumvent access controls or reverse-engineer the service
• Process content you do not have the right to access
• Attempt to disrupt or degrade the service for other users

Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

Liability

Sumi is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free processing, or that digest content will be factually accurate in all cases. AI systems can make mistakes — treat digests as helpful summaries, not authoritative sources.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of Sumi is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of Sumi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

If you disagree with a change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.
